Synopsis
Little Yugi collapses, leaving only the Spirit of the Puzzle to duel against Pegasus. Pegasus tries to read the Spirit's mind, but Téa, Joey and Tristan use their friendship ritual to focus their minds and block out Pegasus. Yami Yugi plays Mystic Box to get back his Dark Magician, then uses Brain Control on Pegasus' time bomb. Then he plays the card Yugi played face down, which was the Dark Magic Ritual. Yami Yugi sacrifices Dark Magician and the captured Jigan-Bakudon to summon his Magician of Black Chaos!

Pegasus polymerizes his Relinquished with a Thousand-Eyes Idol to get his best monster, the Thousand-Eyes Restrict! As the Restrict captures the Chaos Mage, it also catches the two cards Yami Yugi played, Karebo and Multiply! Thousands of Karebo swarm over the Restrict then self-distruct due to the Jigan-Bakudon, weakening the Restrict so the Magician of Black Chaos can destroy it. Yugi wins the duel!

After the Shadow Realm area disappears, Pegasus is missing and the souls remain trapped! Meanwhile, Bakura shows up and we find out despite Tristan throwing his Millennium Ring into the ocean, he is still possessed by his item's spirit which plans to fight Pegasus and gain his Millennium eye.

    Goofs and Nitpicks
  • After the duel, Yami Yugi seems the same size as Yugi, but in other episodes there is an obvious height difference.
  • When Pegasus threw his cards on the duel arena, he had about 13 cards on the arena, and you need at least 40 cards just in your deck.
  • Gorgons eye should still be on the field, so the kuribo would be stone, so how would they be able to explode?????
  • when yugi wakes up you can see that the magician of black chaos card is on the place where you put the cards, but yugi doesn't actually HAVE the cards so what should be there would be the dark magician and the ritual card
  • When Yugi plays "dark magic ritual" Pegasus says exactly this: "Oh NO! Yugi has sacrificed my monster before it could detonate, (with the ritual) and then says : "but what has he taken in its place>" Pegasus should know it would be the Magician of black chaos because he created the cards and created the Dark magic ritual so Pegasus shouldn't question what would take its place
  • CORRECTIONS concerning Black Magician of Chaos: First, how would anyone know if Yugi doesn't have a Black Magician of Chaos card? Second, Pegasus may have forgotten about the result of the Black Magic Ritual. How do you expect someone to know everything about their creations?
  • I can't believe no one can listen. If Pegasus created a "Dark Magic Ritual", the name is MORE than OBVIOUS. What else would it be for? And Kaiba said before that he has every card in the game at his disposal. And Pegasus seems to always boast about his dueling skills with the cards HE created. Everyone knows (people that like yugioh) that Dark Magic Ritual is for the "Magician Of Black Chaos". Dark Magic Ritual is an Ultra Rare, I really DOUBT that Pegasus would forget he created it ..... the name is S O O O Obvious with the words "Dark Magic" in it...............and plus, it is to bring forth a monster, tell me; what else would it be now? • Pegasus created almost 10,000 cards maybe more so how is he going to remember every single card he has created especially when hes in the middle of a duel.
  • In 'The Mystery Duelist', Yugi mentions you need the right monster card to use a ritual (when Keith used Zera Ritual and had Zera the Mant). As memory serves, after Yami gets the D. Mag. back, Pegasus draw and passes. Then, Yami draws, plays the card (Brain Control) immediately and takes Jigan Bakudan (with Relinquished). Pegasus laughs since Bakudan is going to detonate, but Yami activates the Dark Mag. Ritual and sacrifices it to summon Black Chaos. In all the shots of Yami's or Yugi's hand throughout all the parts of this duel, the Mag. of Black Chaos is never shown, so how was the Mag. of Black Chaos played? Yugi himself said you need the right monster to go with a ritual card, but this rule deosn't seem to apply to him.
  • Thousand Eyes Restrict can only absorb one monster at a time, so how did it absorb all of those Kuribohs?
  • Response A Multiply monster still counts as 1 monster. Yugi didn't have a thousand Kuribohs.
  • BIG RESPONSE: If pegasus is true by the means of his millennium eye, then he shoul be able to read peoples minds. If Pegasus could read minds and understand all cards, he should KNOW what it does. (dark magic ritual) Anyway, how would pegasus play the rest of his cards when they don't even have any writing on them!? The creator of duel monsters should know the cards more than Yugi. Yugi knows way more and so does kaiba. Pegasus shouldn't have not known what was going to be brought forth of that card. -submitted by: SteffenMC
